Ibanez JEM 7VWH Circa 1993...SUPER STEVE VAI MODEL!

We are offering this very fine 1993 model of the Ibanez JEM 7VWH electric guitar. This is the first year of this Steve Vai signature model. The auction includes the Ibanez hard case pictured below and the vibrato arm (not pictured). We have included lots of pictures and encourage you to look carefully at all of them before asking questions or bidding. The pictures are as important to the description as are the words written here. Please note: We have not listed a "buy it now" price and won't be ending the auction early, nor are we interested in trades. Please don't email with requests for either.
We like to get the negative items out of the way first, so here's the list...This is definitely a "player's" guitar, so there are several edge nicks on the body and headstock which we have attempted to picture below. There are also a couple of scratches on the body, (not serious or deep) as well as some belt buckle rash. There is a minimal amount of fretwear which would not in any way affect the playability of the guitar and you will notice one "bump" on the back of the neck finish which can be felt but doesn't go into the wood. That's it as far as issues go...absolutely no structural or functional problems in any way.

This is the first year for this particular model, which has the alder body and the "All Access" neck joint. Also note the ebony fretboard, not rosewood as the newer models have. Scalloped fretboard on the 21st through 24th frets allows for better accessability, sustain, and tone. The beautiful abalone and pearloid inlay is the distinctive hallmark of this model's appearance.

You will, of course, notice the black hardware on this model, which is not original, but really gives it a look which sets it apart. The original gold tuning machines, Edge Lo-Pro tailpiece, and string lockdown have all been replaced with correct models in the black finish. Our experience with the gold hardware is that it fades and rubs off easily, but this black hardware will still be looking great years in the future.

Functionally, the guitar works exactly as designed. The original DiMarzio Evolution pickups really crank out the sound. These high output pickups are extremely loud and have a fat, punchy tone. The Ibanez Edge tailpiece, along with the inspired body routing, gives a wide range of pitch possiblities for all of you who want to use the whammy bar for pulling up as well as dive bombing.

Well, there you have it! This is just one fine player's guitar which begs to be played. We are selling this fine instrument with no reserve, so some lucky bidder is going to walk away from this auction with a grin on his/her face and a wonderful instrument in their hands! Why not you?
